We were approached by the CEO to help moving the project further, after a new round of investment. The plan was to revisit the existing product and business model and develop a set digital products aligned with the new business goals. One of these products was an application to help family members to manage the health records of their family, and easily share that information with doctors while still keeping information private. Given the target, it was important that no key feature was hard to understand and use.
The branding work was laid out before us and we used our Product Design Process to bring the app’s concept to life. The interface is intuitive and features are built with no room for any doubt regarding what they concern.
The goal was to launch the app to run only on iPhone. For this reason the team decided to use Swift, as it allowed us to launch fast, while still using a solid framework. The back-end was an extension of what already existed on the project. A set of microservices written in Node.js and Ruby on Rails.

Different users need different things. Given Jingalife’s target audience, it was important to answer to their specific needs. We got ourselves in their shoes and designed an interface that assured clarity, independently of age or medical situation, sticking the user journey to the very essential.
